Teaching Style

Connecting to yourself is the essence of optimal health. When we are blocked physically or emotionally, the messages of what our body or mind needs cannot be heard.

Enjoying the feeling of being in your body while connecting to yourself emotionally, physically, and spiritually are at the heart of Melissa's yoga classes. Her goal is for participants to leave the class feeling better than when they walked in - stronger, more flexible, connected to themselves, nervous system reset, confident and grounded. Focusing on joint articulation (hip/shoulder opening), core strengthening, breathing and alignment are regular parts of her yoga offerings, as well as hands on assistance (or mini massages) for those comfortable with touch. Live music is also an important part of connection for Melissa, and she likes to incorporate live sound whenever possible in her classes.
